Principal Supervisor for fourteen elementary/middle schools in Philadelphia. 

  • Developed leader capacity resulting in 10/10 schools improving on the annual School Progress Review SY18-19

  • Analyzed school budgets and worked with school leaders to create responsible budgets that focused on student needs

PRINCIPAL

  • Leader of a K-8 School with 35 teachers and a total of approximately 100 staff members

  • Moved the school’s performance index for growth from intervene to model

  •  Led multiple teachers to meet the highest bar for growth (significant evidence that the school exceeded the standard for PA academic growth) as determined by the Pennsylvania department of education.

  • Implemented differentiated retention practices to mold a high performing staff

  • Implemented an observation-feedback cycle – school-wide, that narrowly focused on increased student achievement through an increase in teacher effectiveness

  • Implemented school-wide systems to address the current climate of the school in an effort to turn it around in two years’ time through the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, PBIS. Recognized in Hershey, PA at the National Implementer’s Forum for Fidelity of Implementation

  • Developed community partnerships with the State Representative’s Office for monetary and community support

  • Increased teacher effectiveness ratings by an average of 1.5% (4-point scale)

  • ELA, Planning, and Leadership content specialist facilitator (virtual and in-person summit)

  • Equity Influencer Residency Facilitator - 10-month long partnership between UnboundEd and school leadership that helps those influencers distinguish between equitable and inequitable classroom practices and intentionally develop a plan to improve equitable instruction within their sphere of influence.
